Committees

It shall be the Finance Committee's duty to assist the Director of Finance with financial planning and reporting to set long-range financial goals. Also, this committee will use their working knowledge of online tools such as Excel spreadsheets and QuickBooks to assist the Director of Finance with the recording and reporting of data. 

It shall be the Fundraising Committee's duty to assist the Director of Research and Development in organizing promotional events, such as exhibitions and speaking engagements at various venues. The responsibilities will include generating income and funding the budget of Ms. New Jersey Senior America, Inc. Their responsibilities will also include the ability to contact and build a relationship with prospective donors and research new, innovative ways to raise money.

 It shall be the duty of the Membership Committee to assist the 3-Year Cameo Club Representative to provide insight on membership recruitment, engagement, and retention. This committee will also help ensure support of the New Jersey Cameo Club's mission by educating new members about the organization and following up with potential members. The committee should also reach out to members who currently have not renewed their membership, possibly by a survey shared with the Board of Directors.

 It shall be the duty of the Public Relations Committee to assist the Director of Communications to create public awareness of MsNJSA and NJCC, their service projects and activities to promote the mission, values, and work of each organization. This committee will use effective communication methods, such as social media, press releases, blogs, and presentations, to gain public recognition.

It will also be the responsibility of this committee to oversee the production of the annual journal for the Ms. NJ Senior America Pageant and fundraising events. Production includes interaction with the printers, pricing, providing scripts and layouts, proofing, collection of funds from advertisers and patrons, etc. 

It shall be the Social Committee's duty to assist the 2-Year Cameo Club Representative in improving the New Jersey Cameo Club's social climate. Their responsibilities will include spearheading social events for its members to create a sense of togetherness by organizing fun, exciting events for members to socialize with each other. At meetings, the Social Committee will provide refreshments and birthday celebrations.

The purpose of the Technology Committee is to assist the Board of Directors in fulfilling its responsibilities with respect to the overall use of technology in executing its business strategy. The Technology Committee’s role is to ensure that the organization’s technology programs are current by researching and hiring a technology expert, until such time as a member exhibits significant ability to assume the role of Committee Chairperson. The Technology Committee shall report to the Vice Chairperson, and advise the Board on any technology-related matters.
