Our 2022 Board of Directors
The Director of Pageants shall create themes, update the Pageant application yearly, and maintain files for each contestant.
She will also work with Pageant guest participants, including emcee, choreographer, dancers, production numbers, and all involved in securing the Pageant's success.
The Director of Pageants may not hold a New Jersey Cameo Club office. She may have all other membership privileges if she has paid dues and is a qualified Cameo Club member. She must also have participated in the Ms. Senior America Pageant.
The Chairperson shall be the chief executive officer of the Corporation. She shall preside at all Board meetings and shall oversee the general management of the Corporation's affairs.
The Chairperson shall see that all orders and resolutions of the Board are carried into effect. The Chairperson of the Board of Directors/Representatives is the top official of Ms. New Jersey Senior America, Inc. (MsNJSA). She is responsible for all business decisions and all matters regarding the New Jersey State Pageant. And will appoint the New Jersey State Pageant Director, who will serve under the Chairperson's direction.
The Chairperson may also serve as the Director of the Pageant and use the title Chairperson/Director. She will act as an advisor to the New Jersey Cameo Club (NJCC) Board Representatives. In the case of a tie vote, the Chairperson will be allowed to vote to break the tie.
The Vice-Chairperson shall have the powers and functions of the Chairperson in the absence or disability of the Chairperson. The Vice-Chairperson shall perform such other duties as the Board shall prescribe. Her responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working closely with the Chairperson on various assignments, in addition to overseeing the Technology Committee.
"The Director of Finance is elected for a three-year term to the Board of Directors. She is responsible for the care and custody of all the funds and securities of the Ms. New Jersey Senior America Inc. and its subsidiary, the New Jersey Cameo Club.
The responsibilites of the Director of Finance are as follow:
· Oversees the collection and recording of membership dues
· Processes all accounts payable and accounts receivable on a timely basis which shall be duly authorized by the Board of Directors/Representatives and countersigned by the Chairperson (if required).
· Provides procedures and forms for check requests and expense reimbursements
· Provides separate and combined financial statements for MsNJSA and NJCC to the BOD each quarter
· Develops an annual budget for scheduled events
· Provides the Director of Communications with copies of all internal and external correspondence regarding finances"
The Director of Communications shall record and maintain the Board of Directors/Representatives' minutes and any auxiliary organization (i.e., Cameo Club). She shall be responsible for managing and directing internal and external communications. She shall also have custody of the Corporation's seal. She shall affix and attest the same to documents when duly authorized by the Board of Directors/Representatives. She shall attend to the giving and serving of all notices of the Corporation. Furthermore, shall have charge of such books and papers as the Board of Directors/Representatives may direct. She shall attend to correspondence assigned to her; and perform all the duties incidental to this office.
The Director of Research & Development's role is to help investigate and implement a strategic plan to raise funds for MsNJSA and the NJCC. However, this Director's primary responsibility is to oversee the Fundraising Committee and the organization of fundraising events, rather than raising money. The Director will communicate fundraising efforts and events to the Chairperson of the Board and the Director of Communications.
The three-year (3) Cameo Club Representative is elected by the Cameo Club membership for a three-year term to the Board of Directors. Her responsibilities include, but are not limited to, serving as an advisor for the Cameo Club general membership to present questions and concerns to the Board of Directors. Also, she will be responsible for expanding the membership to untapped areas of New Jersey as she oversees the Membership Committee.
The Two-Year (2) Cameo Club Representative is elected by the Cameo Club membership for a two-year term to the Board of Directors. Her responsibilities include, but are not limited to, serving as an advisor for the Cameo Club general membership, presenting questions and concerns to the Board of Directors. She will also oversee the Social Committee, planning and organizing internal and external social events to increase camaraderie among the Cameo Club members.
