Meet Terry Meade

Terry was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.  Having danced and performed since childhood, being able to continue performing regularly with the New Jersey Cameo Club at this stage of her life brings Terry great joy!  Her parents were ballroom dancers, and she grew up in a home filled with music, theater and dance.  She has been producer, director, choreographer, and costume designer in many productions around New York and New Jersey, and has appeared in a number of dance videos. 

She holds a degree in Executive Secretarial Science, and was the Administrator of the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.   After moving to New Jersey in 1971, she owned several businesses over the years. Terry was a contestant in the MS NJ Senior America Pageant in 2014 and was elected Vice-President of the New Jersey Cameo Club.  In 2017, she was thrilled to have been selected to be the Director of the MS NJ Senior America Pageant, producing the Ms. NJ Senior America pageants at Harrah’s Resort and Casino in Atlantic City.

Terry and Mark, her husband of 55 years, are certified volunteers with the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, New Jersey Sharing Network, and the Gift of Life Donor Program. Both are in-demand speakers on organ and tissue donation around New Jersey and Philadelphia.  Mark received the “gift of life,” a heart transplant twelve years ago from an anonymous donor.  They give back for their miracle by continually raising awareness of the critical need for organ and tissue donors by speaking in high schools, nursing schools, medical schools, hospitals, senior communities, etc. When not traveling to speak about organ donation, Terry enjoys time with her family; two children and three grandsons!
